MADD-GEN Program

NSERC CREATE in Computational Methods for the Analysis of the Diversity and Dynamics of Genomes (cMADD-GEN) CREATE-CMADDG aims to train M.S. and Ph.D. students who specialize in at least one of three core areas: data and information processing (i.e. algorithms, machine learning, data mining); computer systems and software development; visualization and biological interpretation. The program provides a unique integrated training environment that covers the three essential components to address the computational needs of the ongoing revolution in biomolecular sciences. It trains experts who have a solid understanding of the biological problems in question and are computationally sophisticated to develop real world solutions towards their resolution.
