IRMACS and WestGrid are pleased to present an introductory workshop on scientific visualization using Paraview. The workshop will run from 9:00AM to 1:00PM on September 27th. All Faculty and students are welcome to attend. Please RSVP as space is limited.
ParaView is an open source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application (www.paraview.org). ParaView users can quickly build visualizations to analyze their data using qualitative and quantitative techniques. This workshop will explore the basics of scientific visualization with 1-, 2- and 3-dimensional data sets through hands-on exercises. Attendees will need to bring a laptop and should have Paraview installed on their laptop before the workshop. Wireless networking will be available during the workshop.

Installing Paraview
The Paraview Visualization workshop is a hands on workshop. All workshop attendees will need to bring a laptop with Paraview installed. Installing Paraview is straightforward. There are installers for Windows, OSX, and Linux. Please visit the Paraview download page and install Paraview according to the directions for your specific operating system.
